Paul Revere's Celebration of Life

Since Paul's funeral service last Monday, Iv'e been trying to think how I thought about it all.  It's been difficult.  The service was a beautiful tribute to Paul and his wife Sydney.  Immediate family and his Raiders were also there.  It was somber of course, but also illuminating and quite funny at times.
  Several speakers related their personal thoughts and experiences they had with Paul, some serious and some 180 degrees from serious. Well, that's showbiz.                                                                                                                                      
   A couple of days ago, I suddenly had a thought. Well, it does happen occasionally.  Paul had turned 76 years old this past January.  The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th,1776.  Most likely, many of you out there had already thought of this, but for me, I  thought what a fitting tribute to remember Paul as 'The Spirit of 76". I loved the man, and all he was!
    In closing, I still think the Nampa-Caldwell blvd. should be renamed Paul Revere Blvd. Spread the word gang!

Another thought about Paul.

Since Paul had strong connections with both Caldwell [basically his home town,he grew up there ] and Nampa,  I think the two cities should come together, and rename the Nampa-Caldwell corridor ---------"Revere Drive" what do you think about that!

Revere Memorial

Hi fun seekers.  Though this isn't fun, I needed to tell you about Paul's funeral status. I went to The CATHEDRAL of the ROCKIES where the memorial will take place this coming Monday. Oct. 13, and was told that parking will apparently be a problem.  Boise High school will be in session and it has dedicated parking for a four square block area where the church is located, and they expect upwards of 1500 people to attend. They also said that many of Paul's fans were coming from all over the U.S.! I   think that's very nice.  SO!  The service begins at 1:00 pm. If your'e thinking about going, better get there early because of the parking problem.
  If I find out any more details, I'll be sure to pass them along. Thanks for responding so well to my last message about Paul, he was a dear friend and I thoroughly admired and respected him---ROCK the Angels my friend!

 hi gang,  just heard my long time friend and boss Paul Revere passed on yesterday. Don't know any details at this time. He was seriously ill for quite awhile, and he and I had some private and meaningful discussions about it ---and they will remain private.

I'M BACK!

      Well, gang, here we are at the Autumnal Equinox.  The leaves are starting to drop, but I still don't know why they call this the first day of Fall.  humph!                                                                                         I must apologize that I haven't been available lately.  My life in the past year hasn't been much fun.                                      Those of you who have been following my blogs know about the passing of my grand-daughter last Feb.  Along with that, my wife filed for divorce against me.  In part, the divorce decree that followed stipulated that I had to vacate the home we shared for 10 years by May 31. I began looking for a place to live just about everyday starting in March.  I finally found a house in early June which I live in now.
  Enough of chaos!
  I've started back in my music, and have begun work on my next song and release.  Unfortunately, it    has been several months of not doing any recording, and I am having some trouble with the technical aspects of Logic, the software program I use in my recordings. But that's showbiz!  And like it or not, I'M BACK! YEA!  
    
                                                         

Grand-daughter Michaella Coe

Hi , It's me again
  One week ago, I put a post on F.B. about my grand-daughter Michaella and her battle with cancer.  After the last two and a half years of this, we lost her a few minutes past midnight Monday morning .  We are all very sad--but her suffering is over, and this beautiful girl is now in a much better place. And for that , we celebrate her love of life and the inspiration she showed all of us all the time.
  If you have seen my F.B. page of last week, you know that I had written and recorded a song about Michaella entitled "Walking With an Angel".  It is available on CDBaby and iTunes as well as other sites.
  As I stated last week, whatever monies this song may generate, I am going to donate the majority of the proceeds to cancer research [i.e.] Wilms tumor, the specific disease that took her life. I will disclose this information as it becomes available to me.
  Thank you all for your kind comments this past week.
  Her CELEBRATION is to be held this coming Saturday March 1st. at "The Vineyard" in Garden City.  Heaven is also celebrating with us, for that night is a New Moon!

your thoughts about my songs

Well, this one might scramble some of your brains.
  Last week I announced I was starting a new song.  Then after I thought about it, I decided to do something kind of weird.  My 1st. song out there,'' Main Streets U.S. of A'', I received a lot of feedback by close friends -- most of them excellent local musicians --AND THEY LIKED IT!  However, they also had different reasons.  Some thought the lyric was great -some liked the overall arrangement and production-and a lot of them  thought the narrative  (about the different cities) at the end of the song was cool and very creative.
  NOW, since I have begun my 2nd. piece, it occurred to me that those of you out there that I really don't know --what did you like about ''Mn.St.U.S.ofA.''?   Now I don't need tons of lengthy thoughts, I wouldn't be able to read them all.  So maybe a short note from some of you out there would be great!
 I would like to know so I could maybe get a solid feel on how I can proceed with my second and forthcoming other songs.  It's always good to know what your audience likes and wants!
