Hi.  What's happening?  I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and he asked me where I                               recorded my music.  Actually, I've had quite a lot of you , in the last couple of months , asking me
the same question but really didn't think about it that much.  That's what I get for thinking.
He was surprised when I told him that I recorded everything in my living room.  What?  Well, it's true.
I use two softwhere programs.  The first one is called Logic, which was developed and released by Apple a few years back along with new upgrades every other year or so. It is a very sophisticated and complex program that is used by professional recording studios throughout the world, as well as lowly musicians like myself.  After two years of using this program, I feel that I learned about 5% of it! Believe me, it's complicated!  However, a very long time friend of mine who is extremely computer literate, tells me that complex systems in other disciplines are of the same difficulty.  The vast majority of people who use these systems only use specific areas that they need for their work.  The rest of the program they don't need or use.  They are simply too complicated.  So now I don't feel so bad. Thank goodness, for awhile there I thought one  of my longtime favorite sayings, "Never feel useless, you can always be used as a bad example" was applicable to me!  Ahh, that's showbiz.
The second program I use, is called Addictive Drums, which is very cool, but again, complicated. However, I'm getting better at it.
I was also asked by my friend, who were the other musicians on my recordings. Alas, it's just me.  I play all guitar and bass parts as all as all keyboards, and then using Addictive Drums, add the percussion sequences I need for any of my songs.
Since I do all of this by myself, it has proven to be a very time consuming process.  I am currently working on my next song, and hopefully will be able to release it in the 6 weeks or so---at least that's my goal.  I've had many of you swell people tell me that you're getting a little impatient, hang in there swell people, I'm trying to do my best.  Honest and for true!
                       Take care, be safe.
                                           Always, my best.
                                                                 Charlie
