Christmas

Hey, do you realize that a week from now we will all know what we received as gifts for the occasion.  Wow!  Most of us are truly blessed.  I know I am, I still have great health, and reasonable cognition-- I think.
I have many personal friends that have I loved and respected  throughout  the years, I won't name them-they know who they are.  Most , but not all, are terrific musicians right here in Boise, except fort B. Truitt, however, he shows up here in Boise once in a while.
Most of us here in the America, are living reasonably well and look forward to our future.  However, we all know that some of us do not, and for various reasons they can't control.  Let's face it, we all need help from time to time, it's simply a human condition.
I was raised by my parents ( Christian faith) that all religions were extremely important, for their faiths, at times, were all they had.  I believe that all of us are here for a reason, and of course,
none of us know why.  That's why I believe there is something beautiful waiting for us all.
To all of you, take care, be safe.
                                                            Charlie Coe

   Thanks, Charlie

Monday, November 2, 2015

Wow, it's November.  What's happened to this year!  Anyway, been kind of busy this past week cause my oldest son was over from Portland setting up with a new wine distributor here in Boise.  Because of that he will be able to get over here a little more often--yeh!
Now that's over,  I wanted to acknowledge my thanks to some guys that helped me with RBR,
my latest song release.  Had quite a bit of input from my sons, Aaron and Bones and it was Bones that suggested I play some piano chops along with the guitar at the close of the song -- which I did.
Longtime guitar/entertainer legend Mr.T.T. Miller [Terry Miller] also gave me some advice and help towards the final production of the song.  Last, Don Cunningham of Cunningham Audio, who I used in the mastering of my last two releases was of his usual terrific attitude and wonderful expertise.
I am very grateful and owe my debt of gratitude to my sons and friends.
                                Later, your friend Charlie

HI there. [ world's shortest sentence] Anyway, just posted a message on my Facebook page about the status of my song Iv'e been working on for almost a year.  I started it last Oct.14 yeh,2014!
I still have 15 songs that I want to do. Unfortunately, at this rate, I may finish the last ones from Heaven---I wonder if it has show business. I'll have to think about that.
Anyway, that's what is going on.
                 Thanks for your patience

Hi.  What's happening?  I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and he asked me where I                               recorded my music.  Actually, I've had quite a lot of you , in the last couple of months , asking me
the same question but really didn't think about it that much.  That's what I get for thinking.
He was surprised when I told him that I recorded everything in my living room.  What?  Well, it's true.
I use two softwhere programs.  The first one is called Logic, which was developed and released by Apple a few years back along with new upgrades every other year or so. It is a very sophisticated and complex program that is used by professional recording studios throughout the world, as well as lowly musicians like myself.  After two years of using this program, I feel that I learned about 5% of it! Believe me, it's complicated!  However, a very long time friend of mine who is extremely computer literate, tells me that complex systems in other disciplines are of the same difficulty.  The vast majority of people who use these systems only use specific areas that they need for their work.  The rest of the program they don't need or use.  They are simply too complicated.  So now I don't feel so bad. Thank goodness, for awhile there I thought one  of my longtime favorite sayings, "Never feel useless, you can always be used as a bad example" was applicable to me!  Ahh, that's showbiz.
The second program I use, is called Addictive Drums, which is very cool, but again, complicated. However, I'm getting better at it.
I was also asked by my friend, who were the other musicians on my recordings. Alas, it's just me.  I play all guitar and bass parts as all as all keyboards, and then using Addictive Drums, add the percussion sequences I need for any of my songs.
Since I do all of this by myself, it has proven to be a very time consuming process.  I am currently working on my next song, and hopefully will be able to release it in the 6 weeks or so---at least that's my goal.  I've had many of you swell people tell me that you're getting a little impatient, hang in there swell people, I'm trying to do my best.  Honest and for true!
                       Take care, be safe.
                                           Always, my best.
                                                                 Charlie

Beautiful  sunrise here in Boise today, yep, I'm back to let you know I can really shake 'm down---hum might be a song in there somewhere,  Anyway,  I've returned from my little hiatus and I am ready to get back to work!  I would like to thank you all for checking in to see what condition my condition was in--wait a minute---I know there's a song in that one!  I was quite surprised that so many of you did! Doesn't anybody have to work anymore? But it was nice, and thanks again.
I'm about halfway through the current song I've been working on, however, because of the holidays, the vocal glitch, and my vacation, the project kind of stalled.  But now I'm back on track and happy to report I spent about 10 hours this past week attempting to get my chops back on the gitar---that's how they pronounce it down Sowth you know.
I have a lot of work to do, and I'm ready to do it!  Please be patient.
On a somewhat more personal note, my very longtime wonderful friend Terry Miller [ T.T. Miller]
informed me that our longtime mutual friend Terry Arp died after a long battle with cancer. His service was last Friday, but I had just returned from my vacation and was not aware of his passing. Terry was a terrific person---one of the good guys!  He was also an excellent guitar player, and he will be remembered.  My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.  Keep on play-in' Dude!
That's it for now, will be around and in closer contact with you all.

                                                                       Thanks again for your interest!
                                                                                        Yours, C.F. Coe
